As I assemble this brief newsletter on leap day, I am reminded how important it is always to find beauty, especially in things and people that are different or in places and unplanned journeys. And being different myself—I present to you this month some of my unique poetry on nature, life, friends, and family. I am also sincerely grateful to you for putting up with my words for two years this month. I didn’t think I would have the courage or drive to go this far. But—like many challenges in life, we carry on. The rewards of any endeavor will be significant. Below, you will find three Tanka poems, one Haiku, a small Shape or Concrete poem, and a Tricube poem. See if you can discover which is which. Especially for February, I also had to include a profound love poem from the heart. So‚on this different kind of day—I wish you all a wonderful March filled with hope, light, and love as our world begins to warm and flow into a new and forgiving season of greenery.
