May is the month that reignites life. Love radiates everywhere as emerald greens tangle with the sun, especially in the spread of spectral blossoms and fresh scents of new hope. The warmth of spring works overtime to overcome darkness. And for me, nothing beats the emotional trauma of a long day of work or the dissonant screams splattered upon the faces of news and social media like a long walk in the woods. Writing then finishes the day with a tasty dessert to get me through the dreams of a long—starry night.
