A Path of Meekness
Part 4 — A Friend on the Mountain
humble—reverent spirits who suffer
for possessing soft and generous hearts
walk simple paths of mercy and grace
standing tall—fearless—as solemn pines
planted in dark soils of their Master’s till
they shield life from fierce winds of pride
their prayers rise upon morning mists
indebted to a peaceful—plentiful earth
and the Creator of all things beautiful
in respect for the fruits of His kind art
they intricately interlock family roots
into emerald forests of spiritual shelter
these countless—meek souls live blessed
as quiet partners in God’s loving works
building legacies on scaffolds of hope
and foundations of gratitude and faith
they reflect lights of sacred ancestry—and
sacrifice broken hearts and contrite spirits
listening to safe directions in the gentle
whispering winds of the Holy Spirit
reaping rewards for divine stewardship
as their gardens grow—to inherit the earth
