My Life as A River
Finding Spiritual Peace on the Lonely Left Fork
“Do unto those downstream as you would have those upstream do unto you.” ―Wendell Berry
Poetry and prose not only tell my story, but they are also therapy—a means to deal with the mists of darkness that try to engulf my mind. I created this peaceful site for individuals who may at times struggle with faith, mental or emotional health, or other challenges. For individuals who possess a kind heart and are loyal to the Earth, seeking connections to their spirit or a deeper understanding of creation care, yet often feel distant or lost. Friends whose ideals may lean left of loud crowds or are trying to find an authentic link between God, science, and humanity. My wife, my closest friend in life and beyond death, who is an example of love to everyone, also shares her magnificent, spreading tree, with roots embedded in the deep soils of a divine ancestry. Her tireless work has blessed our family and others, far beyond time. Please join us as we float our endless rivers of hope and peace.
Our Love
She is my beautiful tree
Home to emerald leaves
I am her long winding river
Bearing holy sapphire waters
Hearts bound in ancestries of love
Flow into stars—of soft eternal peace
