Becoming Infinity

I linger in the light
squinting in silver curiosity
exploring the snarled calculus
of this mystifying universe
as I wrestle hordes of stars
teasing points of my reality
I taste my own conversion
in flowing nebulas of truth
my mind finds enlightenment
in this vast oasis of science
but my heart is also enlightened
in this pure awe of humility
as my heart bonds to mind
and my spirit to intelligence
I gently spiral into oneness
with this exquisite infinity
embracing God and humanity
I can touch hope’s passages
and dare to gaze into darkness
for futures swathed in light
and as I dig from my caustic
crypts of a momentary now
I unearth another reality—
while finding truth is basic
becoming that true person
well—that’s another story…
