An Empty Tomb

inside coarse immortal stone
hollows of lovely emptiness
whisper calm hallowed songs
into soft hearts of every soul
weeping in dark desperation
for healing in deep chasms
of the stones that entomb us

this divine delegation of grace
or miracle—from death to life
quenches my inner emptiness
in reservoirs of hope and love
I’m flooded in His living waters
as He rescues me to a safe home
that extends far beyond any time

in a green garden chamber of light
emptiness becomes my fulness
