I love dogs and goats
pretty much all animals
they seem to grasp a purpose
and do not understand politics
with its consuming pride and ego
its harsh fences and boundaries
its heartless money or status
they live above our indulgence
and our hackneyed opinions
to only give of themselves
in pure—unconditional love
