As I Walk

I’m
Easily
Absorbed
Into the dark
As I walk above
And between the life
Steeples of wooded green
Whose shadows hide my own
It’s so easy for me to forget
All the things that give
Their life to protect
This shallow life
My misty tears
Now paint a
Devotion
To God
