What it Means to be an “InstaPoet”

An InstaPoet, like me, regularly posts much of their work on Instagram. You trade some usual avenues of publishing to connect with a poetry community brimming with friends who do the same. And you disqualify yourself from many writing contests, because they will typically not accept content that has been posted to any social media accounts. A worthy trade-off. It is a cathartic adventure that brings mental and emotional healing as you connect with others who express their poetic feelings and creations. And I feel peace when I bring peace to others. It’s authentic and beautiful!
