I Am a River
if I swallow the fears of ashen conspiracies
grown in the insecure turbulence of society
I will plug my purpose and flowing nucleus
for I am the liquid pulse of a calming spirit
gently spreading the burden of my eroding
mountain into greener vales of bubbling hope
conspiracies are dark dams of shallow minds
but hope and light are soft falls of a deeper love
pouring radiant ripples into seeping darkness
leaving no time for intricate schemes of hate
that squabble to consume our hearts and life
wearing us down in stuff that never matters
