Beyond the Reality Stars
I stand at the precipice of forever
where I can freely choose my destiny—
to a short time-centered space—powered by
loud engines of lurid money and flaming egos
driven by divisive podcasts and cable news
vulgar talking heads—snorting out judgments
vomiting fears that shape their fake realities
and whose prime desire—is to think for you
or to a real—enduring universe of security
based on humble compassion for everyone
where love becomes the currency of freedom
and politics wilts beneath God’s peacemakers
who quietly walk upon galactic seas of light
who live unbound by brief times and agendas
in this expansive dimension of true happiness
we cheer and mourn as one—under one light
born in hopeful stars of lasting eternal grace
and when one beloved star spins to sable stone
our temporal universe—becomes a bit darker
colder—as we wipe away tears with tomorrow
time dies—plunging off the precipice of forever
but love ascends—melting every worldly fear
