Billions of Years
in times of infinite patience
and laborious devotion
God created our world and us
scientifically—naturally—fondly
then reflected upon its goodness
an artistic work of divine beauty
born within a colorful variety
so why is it now so difficult
to see that same beauty
within our diverse variety
I fear that in a noisy zeal
of our minuscular time
we have again forgotten
the greatest celestial metaphor
