Natural Splendor
If we were all made the same—
would we still find happiness?
Or would we expunge our planet
because it’s altogether different
Beauty is the progeny of variety
and without its vibrant diversity
in painting nature, life, and ideas
our colors of peace would oxidize
God made us different—naturally
to discover love and not succumb
into grayish tomes of mediocrity
tangled up within our singularities
of ignorance and egotistical pride
Still—many mock in ashen shadows
of hatred—for failing to conform
Distinction renders us vivid—Divine
