Nature’s Song
did you hear the earth sigh
beneath her ginger yarns of dawn
have you crystal courage to hear
the harmonies of her sacred song
in soft groves of lavender somber
she keeps our paths in quiet wander
did you bond your troubled churns
with her plumage of spectral breath
splashing peace over delicate shores
of fall rivers sweeping garnet death
if you bathe your secret moan of grief
she will bless your seasons with relief
did you touch her mountainous soul
shading emerald vales of fertile farm
quaking leaves on branches of time
spread endless friends of earthly charm
growing as one on meadows of cheer
like wildflowers that learned to hear
